So as the title probably gave away, I’m not in my usual Summery digs. Bye bye Rossmoyne, hello London.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume most of my readers are already across my actions abroad so far (http://sisterhoodabroad.wordpress.com/ , check it for all the latest goss from our Penge pad), but I thought I would update this regardless.

So far I’ve spent a dickload of money, drank way too much, and smiled more times than I can count.

Not much more you can ask I guess. Stay fly.

It’s been a long time since anything has appeared on this site. It may be a long time between now and the next post. Life seems a bit faster these days, haven’t really had the time nor capacity to write anything of interest. Not that I’ve ever really posted anything of interest, not that I ever really did.
Anyway, in one week from now, I’ll most likely be very hungover, but equally excited for my flight to foggy London town. I don’t know what else to say right now, though there is certainly plenty to be said.

A funny thing happened on the way to Narembeen

So I had to head out and do a school clinic this morning.

It was booked by my boss, who is from Canberra, and subsequently, doesn’t really know where Narembeen is.

For those in the same boat, it’s about 3 hours and 20 minutes inland.

So at 5:00 am this morning, my brother and I took off for what will henceforth be referred Bumpkinville.

The drive down was relatively uninteresting, seeings as Matt decided to take his blanket and curl up for the trip.

However, we arrived to realise we were an hour early, so what better excuse to see the sights.

Public toilet, or dental surgeons? We weren't sure either.

This is what counts for graffiti in Narembeen apparently. Extra points if you notice the misplaced emu.

We aren't too sure what this was trying to sell. Is it track OR driver? Is it tractor misspelled? Is it tracker misspelled? What are the odds of anyone else in the town noticing?

So after we went for lunch at the empty cafe (I’m 90% they have never had to actually cook anything on their menu) we set sail for home, where more funnies ensued.

After not seeing a car for over half an hour, we figured now was the chance to figure out what it's like to drive in the USA... It's pretty much the same.

We also found out on the way home, that a Nissan Micra can reach 150km/h. Oh and that it can drift around corners if you hit them at 75km/h. Both of these experiments resulted in mass laughter and near death.

Moral of this story: Don’t go to Narembeen.

That I recently went to Melbourne and saw John Mayer live.

In that particular show, there was one song, one moment, that put a bigger smile on my face than I have felt in a long time.

So after much searching on the infinite interwebs, I have found footage of that moment, and I hope that it makes you as happy as it makes me, and who can ask for more than that. Enjoy.

Seems to be the running trend at the moment, ever since our return from the land of scarves and indecisive weather.

Returned home from Melbourne late Tuesday nights, and boy oh boy do I wanna go back.

The little trip was to see John Mayer on the last stop of his Battle Studies tour, and let me say straight off the bat, it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to, and I would not hesitate to see him again, the man is insanely talented.

Also over there I spent a ridiculous amount of money, though I now own new vans, new caps, new shirts, new books, a new jacket, a new hoodie and my favourite purchase of them all…

A new tattoo =]

I’m pretty amped to go back again, this time maybe with my board (although I have been checking this bad boy lately)

Now that Melbourne is over though, I have a few things to look forward to (home town, skiing, other plan/planning) but I think Melbourne stole a big part of me.

Completely lost in the Wild

So it seems that despite the incredible amount of stupid things I do when I drink, I have also developed a new habit.

Yes that’s right, by the light of the full moon (seen through an empty glass usually) I turn into a poetry writing hippy.

Here are a few examples of my live, love, breath attitude.

Case 1: Mitch was looking for me, I had wandered off to explore. I found myself nestled underneath a tree on the far side of Sinead’s property. I at this point felt like calling myself Alexander Supertramp (Into the Wild, 2007. Watch this movie, it is life changing)

Mitch: Where are you?

Alexander Supertramp: Living life under the moon and the stars, just breathing in the night air. Like life should be.

Mitch: Where abouts dick?

Alexander Supertramp: Lost somewhere in the stratosphere o brother of mine.

Mitch: Where abouts dick?

Mitch: ????

Alexander Supertramp: Sometimes we all like to get a little lost in the wild.

Yes I am a douche. Also I sent this out to someone, reasons why remain unknown.

Sometimes you just have to throw yourself

I really had an entirely different post in mind when I wrote that title, but I like it, so it can just stay.

So after months of being excited about finally watching Brand New play live, I was hit with some devastating news. Of the 3 of us goin, 1 could no longer attend, as he is on a last minute trip to Melbourne. After some discussion, I have asked him when he leaves for Melbourne.

“This Friday,” he says.

“What? So why aren’t you coming, Brand New is on this Wednesday,” I informed him, elated at the fact that everything seemed like it would work out.

“Are you sure?”

“Hmmm, pretty sure, let me just check…”

So check I did. And sure enough, Brand New is not this Wednesday. It is next Wednesday. When I’m IN FUCKING ALBANY!!!!!!

Grrrr.

Grrrr indeed.

So now dear readers I have to turn my blog into an online shopper. If you want a ticket please feel free to contact me as I have some to offload it seems.

Also I just realised that this is post number 150 for this little site of mine.

This video still makes me smile so very much.

Oh and apparently there was a storm last night.

I was in the middle of the freeway. It was wet.
